Most custom synthesis projects start with an email, a PDF of a structure and a long wait for someone to reply. ChemOS starts with the structure itself.
#1. Upload a structure
Drop a MOL, SDF or CDX file onto the upload zone. ChemOS reads the connection table, checks the valence of every atom and flags anything it can't interpret, such as an unusual isotope label or a missing stereocentre.
#2. Route planning
The planner searches for routes from commercially available building blocks. Each route is scored on:
- number of steps and expected overall yield
- availability and lead time of the starting materials
- hazards and the equipment each step needs
- how well each step is likely to scale
You see the top routes side by side, with every intermediate drawn out.
#3. A quote you can act on
Pick a route and a quantity and ChemOS prices it from live supplier data and lab capacity. The quote shows what drives the price, so you can trade a faster route against a cheaper one.
#What a chemist still does
Every route is reviewed by a chemist before anything is ordered. The software removes the waiting, not the expertise: our team still decides how a reaction is run, and they are the people you talk to while your compound is being made.
